Miami Beach is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Miami Beach follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

They use high-quality ingredients, and everything is super fresh. Some of the nigiri they serve are masterpieces. However, they skillfully undermine this wonderful gastronomic experience by playing loud, obnoxious hip-hop and reggaeton music. Also, for some mysterious reason, they have trained their chefs to act like amateur B-movie comedians. They make inappropriate jokes to customers, interrupting the experience while genuinely believing they are being funny and witty. A good omakase chef should be reserved, polite, and focused while serving. What I saw instead was rebellious teenage behavior. One chef literally yanked a torch out of another chef’s hands, apparently thinking it would be entertaining or funny. I believe they do this on purpose, thinking this is what the Miami crowd wants, but I have a different opinion. I have been to various omakase restaurants in Tokyo and Kyoto, and I have seen many restaurant styles, but none of them took the risk of acting like jesters. At an omakase, you should be able to enjoy every bite without distractions. I believe this place has an excellent chance of becoming a great omakase restaurant, as the main ingredient—the freshest fish—is

Gold Standard is a true Miami hidden gem! I went to celebrate my daughter’s graduation, and it was beyond perfect. The atmosphere curated by the chefs and servers was amazing; every dish was crafted with such care and flowed perfectly with the music. It captured that high-energy, late-90s Miami vibe that made the entire celebration feel electric. Chef Ronnie, Oliver, and Diego were the stars of the night—they even accommodated my request for rolls with no rice. The cocktails were also a perfect mix, expertly crafted by Sophie and Nell. A 10/10 experience if you want to have a great time at a fair price.

First off, I’d like to apologize to you Bill because I should’ve written a review about our experience at Gold Standard Sushi the first time my wife and I ate at the prior location because it was truly one of the best Omakase experiences we’ve had. Upon arriving to Miami last week, we were eager to return to Gold Standard Sushi not only to enjoy another fantastic Omakase dinner, but also to experience the new setting - and both did not disappoint. I’d like to highlight Bill Spector for being such a gracious and attentive host. He is very passionate about hospitality and it certainly shows. The 16 course tasting menu is perfect and the quality of the seafood is top notch. The chef does a great job with both preparation and execution with each bite entirely unique from the next. Thank you Bill and team for the fun experience and great music. If you have read this review, I can confidently recommend that you experience Gold Standard Sushi.

Gold Standard Sushi completely blew me away. Hands down the best omakase I’ve had in Miami and honestly one of the best I’ve had anywhere. Every course was perfect: insanely fresh fish, thoughtful pacing, and flavor combinations that actually surprised me in the best way. The chef’s attention to detail, explanations of each piece, and the overall vibe made the whole night feel personal and elevated. You can tell there’s real passion behind everything they serve. If you’re looking for a true omakase experience not just pretty plates, but real quality and creativity this is the spot. Already planning my next visit.

If you're into amazing food and a gorgeous setting, this place is a must.
